Three times the charm for the Commonwealth Bank this week after the company was named the top small business bank for the third year in a row.
The result was announced after a review of over 50 banking institutions, which involved collating extensive data about banking services and products.
With 1024 branches and a 24-hour business call centre, Canstar research manager, Mitchell Watson, cited the company's consistency as its key to success.
“CommBank’s success is a result of the consistently strong value it offers across the four segments we compare for the small business award; business deposits, business loans, business credit cards and institutional factors,” he said.
“It is their consistent performance across the different product sectors, coupled with their service-ability and the benefits they offer to their small business customers, that mark them as the best in the industry for 2013.”
Commonwealth’s local business banking executive general manager Adam Bennett said the bank was working closely with small businesses.
“As trading conditions improve, the small business sector is well positioned to grow and prosper,” he said.
