Splash into Pictures and Popcorn

Goulburn NSW -

One of Goulburn’s favourite events is set to make a splash with its first instalment for 2020 – Pictures and Popcorn - at the Pool.

The family favourite event will return to the Goulburn Aquatic and Leisure Centre on Saturday 18th January 2020, with activities beginning at 4pm and the movie to start after dark.

A screening of Disney’s newest edition of ‘Aladdin’, starring Will Smith, will feature on the big screen after dark.

Goulburn Mulwaree Council’s Events Officer, Angela Remington said, “Our first Pictures and Popcorn event for 2020 is definitely going to make a splash with all the favourites returning.”

“This is absolutely an event for everyone – you can dive in, cool off and watch the movie from the water or stay dry and watch from the land. What better way to spend a summer evening than with family and friends”, she continued.

Activities will be aplenty in the Kids Zone with a range of water based activities including swimming and a Giant Aqua-run. The ever-popular Bumper Boats will return to the toddler pool. Out of the water you can experience the fun of the Meltdown Eliminator.

Adding to the summer pool party theme, DJ Amy James will be live throughout the night playing a range of summer hits.

Indulge on Eat Street featuring a range of exceptional food trucks and stalls with a variety of cuisines to quench just about any hunger. From Turkish Gozleme and Pizza to Donuts, Ice Cream and Gelato – you won’t go hungry.

In light of the current bushfires that are impacting a significant area of New South Wales, entry to Pictures and Popcorn – at the Pool will be by donation. All donations will go directly to bushfire relief efforts.

Recently Goulburn has experienced low air quality due to smoke from the bushfires. Members of the community who are more susceptible to the effects of low air quality, who are wanting to attend Pictures and Popcorn – at the Pool, should monitor conditions on the day and consider their health before attending.
